While the Giovanni Consort has been in relative obscurity since it began in 1995, the choir melds the zest and enthusiasm of Perth's finest young singers with exquisite musicianship and attention to detail.

Attadale resident Thomas Friberg is the youngest member of the group at 18.

Thomas said with a subscription series of three concerts this year, he was part of a new generation of singers taking leadership roles within the consort. "The consort's repertoire has ranged from the earliest of medieval plainchant to several commissions of West Australian composers and every period in between,"
he said.

The Giovanni Consort will next perform The Song of Songs on Saturday November 21 at 7.30pm at the Guildford Grammar Chapel. For more information
