Welcome

The Giovanni Consort melds the zest and enthusiasm of Perth's finest young singers with exquisite musicianship and attention to detail. Their stylish performances have been delighting audiences and critics alike since 1995.

The Consort has unearthed lesser known music that has intrigued and inspired the connoisseur; De Brossard, Certon, Clereau, Graziani, presented larger-scale choral works; Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, Monteverdi's Vespers 1610, Handel's Acis & Galatea and Bach's Lutheran Masses and provided high quality interpretations of important classics; Britten's Hymn to St. Cecilia, Durufle's Requiem,  Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Allegri's Miserere and Taverner's Song for Athene.

The Repertoire has ranged from the earliest of Medieval plainchant to several commissions of West Australian composers and every period in between. We have worked with Perth's finest musicians performed under a variety of guest conductors in venues all around Western Australia.

Many of our singers have gone on to national and international careers. Rachelle Durkin, Taryn Fiebig, Iain Grandage, Andrew Moran, Stuart Haycock, Luke Gabbedy, Amber Lister, and recently Katja Webb have all graced the stages of opera houses and concert venues throughout the world.

You can find a partial list of previous concerts and future performances here.

Whether you are a loyal lover of exceptional classical music or a first time concertgoer we sincerely hope that you will allow The Giovanni Consort to lead you on a journey to familiar realms or perhaps to landscapes not previously explored.
